Description
14KT Jaeger Le Coultre Chronograph Red Day 30mm Serviced and keeping excellent time. All parts appear to be original except for the crown which has the hallmark “JJ”. Back of casing is hallmarked B 44785. Inside the casing it is stamped .585 for 14KT yellow gold and has the swiss hallmarks for same. Numerous watchmakers marks are inside noting the watch servicing over the years. Most recently (3 weeks ago) we had our master watchmaker completely clean/restore/lubricate the movement and add the crown which was missing. The manual movement has the numbers 97960. Red day – Red arrow DATE hand that moves when pressing the small tiny pusher button on the left side. This tiny pusher seems a bit sharp to me so not sure if it had some covering from years past. Not sure what vintage but I think it is from the 1940s. Measures 30mm not counting the crown and the acrylic crystal has been polished as well as the gold casing. The original dial has some minor discoloration and the crystal some minor dings. We added a simple black new leather 16mm strap. When you consider this watch is over 80 years old it’s simply amazing! A nice addition to one’s collection.
