Vintage Red White Blue Leather Fringe USA Celebration handstitched Vest – most likely from the late 1960s early 1970s – label says Genuine Leather Made in Mexico along with numbers first few can’t see but 1968 is in there so that may be the year made.  Says size Medium – I am a size 8 and it fits well although I think someone a bit more tall and  twiggy it would look amazing – the fringe is dramatic and long.  I photographed both sides so you can see the expert craftsmanship with the stitching.  Some white fading and some minor stains on the white stripes as the photos show – and I note one significant tear in the first blue fringe that will need some repair.  Also a few spots as can be seen in the photos where perhaps the red die didn’t take or something else happened over the years.

Large arm holes so no issues there – the bust area is 17 inches across – the  front measures 18inches to the total length is 42 inches so there is 24 inches of red and blue fringe.  This was found in a drawer in an estate house and the house had no pets and no smokers.  No odor – it’s very well preserved for its age and needs to find a fun home!
